The first day of school is just around the corner, and I thought I'd give the parents a heads up on preparing for forensics this year. It's always a scramble to find material to use, especially since libraries are closed part of the Labor Day weekend. It might be a good idea to start looking for material already this coming week. It's best to look under the heading of "monologues" in your local library, when searching for declamation pieces. Humorous and Serious Declamation must be a minimum of 3 1/2 mins. and a maximum of 4 1/2 mins. Interpretive Poetry times range from 3 1/2 to 6 mins.
